Can be very confusing and frustrating for your client. As a hair extension technician you are expected to conduct a thorough consultation prior to any installation to determine the most suitable method for your clients natural hair type and lifestyle.
Tapes
Tape hair extensions are one of the safest & kindest methods on the market! There is less tension on the natural hair, as the weight of the panel is spread out over a larger area. Tape in extensions are suitable for most hair types, and particularly ideal for those with finer hair.
The tape weft bonds lie completely flat, allowing clients to wear them quite high up on their head, comfortably and discreetly – AND they are even undetectable to touch, lightweight and easy to manage. This method is one of the quickest applications, with a full head taking less than 1 hour. Tape wefts can be washed, dried & heat styled, and can be worn initially for 6-8 weeks and then re-used many times.

Nano Rings
Top Tip: Secure with silicone lined 3mm nano ring beads.
Nano ring application is one of the most popular and most requested hair extension methods. The bonds are incredibly small (approx 90% smaller than the standard micro ring). They are the smallest bonds on the market, making them super discreet. When fitted correctly, nano ring extensions are very secure. This method is ideal for those who have naturally medium to thick hair and who like to wear they’re hair up frequently. This method requires no glue and no heat, making them very gentle.
Nano rings are not recommended for someone with very oily and unusually soft hair, as they may lose more than expected in between maintenance appointments. Standard full head application takes approx 3-4 hours and maintenance is usually required every 6-8 weeks.

Micro Rings
Top Tip: Secure with 5mm silicone lined micro rings or 4.5/5mm copper tubes.
Application involves the use of a small micro ring or copper copper tube being clamped to the pre-bonded Stick Tip extension in the natural hair. This type of tip is the same as the I tip. Each tip bond weighs 0.8 – 1 gram per strand. They are produced using the finest quality Italian keratin and the hair is thick and very durable. Standard full head application takes approx 2-3 hours. Maintenance is usually required every 6-8 weeks.

Heat Fusion Bonds
Fusion Bonds have a keratin based tip and can be applied using a heat applicator gun. Hot Fusion Hair Extensions are also known as Keratin Hair Extensions and are one of the most requested methods. They are applied to the clients natural hair in single sections, in neat rows using a separating disk, small clip, and heat applicator gun.
Hot Fusion bonds can last between 3-6 months, depending on hair quality, and can take approx 2-4 hours to install. Hot Fusion bonds are recommended for most natural hair types, and can easily be worn quite high up, comfortably and discreetly.

Micro Weft
The micro weft application is a great choice as it is glue and heat free! This application involves using a long seam of weft hair and attaching is safely and securely with small micro rings. This method is a much quicker application and instantly adds volume and length to the clients own hair.
The weft of hair is placed horizontally in strips against the head. A section of the clients natural hair together with a section of the weft hair is gently pulled through the micro ring and clamped together. This secures the weft in place and each section is placed 3/4 inch apart along the horizontal weft. Hair can be worn up being visibly undetectable. This method is suitable for most hair types. Application takes approx 1-2 hours for a standard full head fitting, and maintenance is usual required every 6-10 weeks.

"Track n Sew" Weave (aka LA Weave)
The “Track n Sew” Weave method, also known as the LA Weave is an increasingly popular method. If fitted correctly and to the right hair type, this method is super discreet, comfortable and quick to apply.
The weft extensions are secured seamlessly using no heat, no tight braids and no glue. A track is made using small micro rings, and is hidden underneath the wefts. The wefts are securely attached onto the track using thread matching the same colour as the clients roots.
This method is suitable for most hair types. Application takes approx 1-2 hours for a standard full head fitting, and maintenance is usual required every 8-10 weeks.

Invisible Weave
The Invisible Weave method is the latest & most innovative weave to date so far!. If fitted correctly and to the right hair type, this method is super discreet, comfortable and quick to apply.

Tiny Tips aka Mini Locks
Top Tip: Secure with 3mm mini copper tubes.
Tiny tip extensions are used in this method of application together with the use of a tiny 3mm copper tube which is clamped to the pre-bonded tiny tip in the natural hair. This type of tip is the same as the stick tip/I tip but the actual bond is around half the size making it very discreet and less detectable in the hair than the usual stick tip/I tip hair extensions. Each tiny tip bond weighs 0.8 – 1 gram per strand, same amount of hair as the stick tip. They are produced using the finest quality Italian keratin and the hair is thick and very durable. Standard full head application takes approx. 2 hours. Maintenance is usually required every 6-8 weeks.
